If you lived in Battambang province, and wanted to go to Seam Reap, you would need to take the National High Way 5 to Svay Sisopon and then take the National High Way 6 from Svay Sisopon to Seam Rreap. On the way about 20 miles from Battambang City on the Nation High Way 5, you will reach a district called Thmor Kol which is a very popular place for travelers to strop for a coffee or breakfast and now Thmor Kol is famous for great roasted ducks. That is where Sen Ranut was born and raised. Sen Ranut is currently a permanent vocalist for SM Production. Unlike some Khmer artists who sing well but does not have a look, Sen Ranut has both the look and voice and that makes him a super star in the eyes of his female fans. Popular Magazine released an article about Sen Ranut last year with a title, “A Handsome Singer Who Makes Girl Crazy.” Whenever women talk about Sen Ranut, they say he is hot and you can tell how popular he is by the volume of conversions and discussions about him on the Internet. More than 8 years into his singing profession, Sen Ranut’s fame and reputation have gone so far away that it has reached the land of Australia, France and then America. Now, Sen Ranut is touring in USA.

Now we all can see her profile is even more popular than Preap Sovath’s, Chorn Sovannareach’s profile or any other famous Cambodian stars. Check to see our Top 10 Profiles. This may change later but so far her profile gets the most hits. So you may be tempted to ask why? I personally think she is famous with a lot of news in the media so people want to read more about her, but if you think there are other reasons, please comment at the bottom of the article or on her forum.

Peou Panhapich Profile Part II ***Just Added***

It has been for more than 3 years now since Peou Panhapich was shot early in the morning on April 23, 2007 by an unknown gunman when she was getting off from her car on her way to attend her English class at E.L.T in Phnom Penh. Nobody thought she would live at the time because she was so badly wounded that she had to be transported to a hospital in Vietnam for special treatments. From that day on, Peou Panhapich is a completely different person. Her world went upside down. The tragedy turned a beautiful, energetic, hard-working young girl who is full of hope and potentials into a paraplegic who could not even move or feel most of her body. Though all her physical wounds from the attack have healed today, she is completely paralyzed from her chest down. She can only get around by a wheel chair and can’t live on her own. Pains from the damaged nerves and bones are still badly affecting her physically and mentally.

His peers like Khai Piseth, Som Dara, Yous Bovannak, Som Vithjea, Peach Pirun have gone on to other career or completely disappeared from the industry. Unlike Hollywood, Khmer entertainment does not generally promote old stars. Younger stars in early 20 or younger are given a role as a father or mother by applying make up to make them look old, leaving only a very few opportunities for older stars. Though Tep Rindaro is not as visible as he used to be in Khmer movies or music videos like in the 1990s, he is still one of the most well-known male stars, and he is seen in every important occasion and event.
